What is an arch support
An arch support is a device that is designed to fill the space between your foot and the shoe, providing you with the proper support and alignment. Since most shoes are designed to fit the masses, your feet are rarely supported properly.
Arch supports are made of materials such as plastic, foam rubber and cork, aimed at providing support for the arch of the foot. It can be placed on top of the shoe’s insole, or may replace the existing insole, so that its molded form fits your foot properly, preventing common foot problems.
Why do I need arch support?
Your feet were not designed to walk on the unnaturally hard, flat surfaces we have created. Walking barefoot on soft, uneven terrain provides better cushioning and support to your feet. These natural surfaces conform to your foot shape and actually press against your arches. The best way to prevent problems caused by hard, flat surfaces is the use of an arch support, also known as an orthotic.
Your feet serve as the foundation for the rest of your body. If your feet are not properly supporting you, your body will not be balanced. This can cause pain in your feet, ankles, knees, lower back and sometimes even your shoulders. The proper foot orthotic, combined with a supportive shoe, will put your foot in its natural position for walking and standing.

What is a custom orthotic?
Custom arch supports and orthotics are supportive devices that are specifically made to fit and support each individual foot correctly. Properly fit, the custom arch support is worn in the shoe and acts as an interface between the foot, the shoe and the ground. There are various methods of making orthotics and results can vary depending on the methods and materials. We use two different methods for casting, and a wide variety of materials, which allows us to select the very best option for you.
